This is a simple site meant for displaying some of the projects I've worked on. Enjoy!
About MeJuly 2023: Discover your IP address and Geolocation Data. Make sure you have this site marked as trusted and tracking enabled. Built with Vue3, TypeScript, techniknews api, and ipify
July 2023: A Python/Flask Web App that leverages DeepFace and other machine learning models to rate a person's looks on a scale from 1-10. It was a lot of fun to make! My wife scores 10/10 every time. You can access the repo here. I had a very difficult time finding a way to host this site for free, so I just made a video demonstration for you.
June 2023: A Shopify website I created in preparation for an interview. I created a video run through of the site so that I don't have to pay to host the site on Shopify.
June 2023 Article: Filtering and sorting multi-word strings for relevance in a way that overcomes typos and size-sensitivity
Oct 2021 - May 2023: I worked for BYU-OARE for a year and a half. I didn't do anything with Old Assyrian, I just helped build the website. Built with Node.js, Vue.js, TypeScript, AWS, MySQL, Knex.js
Jan - Mar 2023: This is my group's capstone project. It's a website that helps you know how much you'll pay before you go to the doctor for imaging or elective procedures. It was orignallly built with Node.js, React.js, AWS, PostgreSQL. To be able to host it for free on GitHub Pages, I converted it to a frontend only React app that calls a public read-only REST API I created for this purpose.
May 2023 Article: In our capstone project, we tackled the challenge of making healthcare pricing data more accessible to the public. The cryptic nature of medical procedure names posed a significant hurdle. But with the help of fellow BYU MISM students and ChatGPT, we found a solution. Using the gpt-3.5-turbo API, we automated the process of generating human-readable names and descriptions for complex medical procedures. The results were promising, as ChatGPT proved adept at transforming unintelligible names into layman-friendly terms. To whomever suggested we use ChatGPT to solve this problem: thank you! You can see the repository here.
2021: This is a git repository of a huge group project three teammates and I worked on. It's based in ASP.Net C# MVC Core. It has a fully functional database and tons of functionality. I'm working on getting a video of the runthrough we did.
2021: This is a git repository of an AWS CloudFormation Template. The template will spin up a VPC, subnet, and 3 EC2 instances. The template will automatically install apache on each webserver while starting up. An index.html file is also automatically created that looks something like this.
2021: This is a git repository of a ASP.Net C# MVC Core application modeling a bookstore. The applicaton includes a fully functional database with a cart, pagination, etc. This is just a really nice MVC core web app.
2020: This was a competitive group project that was meant to help bridge the unemployment gap between Americans who happen to be white and Americans who happen to be black. It was built using the Python Django framework and includes recommender algorithms that match applicants with companies and companies with applicants. It includes frontend, backend, and database capabilities. The site also has a secure admin page. This was built entirely in 5 days.
2020: This website was created as a way for 10X LegalTech (a startup) to have CRUD capabilities for customers and invoices to those customers. It was just a hypothetical project and 10X Legal Tech is not actually using this web application. It was built using the Python Django framework and has complete frontend and backend capabilitiess. The site also has a secure admin page.
2020: This is a static site I made for my brother's trash removal business. It has multiple pages and is pretty simple, but good-looking.
2021: This is a mock static website I made for a local company called Se Llama Peru. It's simple but clean.
2020: A simple simulation of a WCC conference basketball season. You can see who ended up being the conference champion and the scores from every game. Hopefully BYU wins lol. It's built entirely with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Nothin fancy, but there's a lot of logic going on in the background.
2020: A really simple version of Yahtzee using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Lots of big brain logic going on behind the scenes. Not much else to say about it. Also, don't sue me for using papyrus.
2020: In this project, I asynchronously query a bunch of titles from a rest API and display either the completed or uncompleted titles. Uncompleted titles can be marked as completed and then be displayed with the completed titles. Written using JavaScript.
2020: The unofficial BYU Information Systems Dating Site lol. It's that silly game where you pick a phrase and then enter your name and your crush's name to see how "compatible" you are. I used JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build this. Not Mobile Friendly
2020: Basically, it's hangman but with songs. You can play multiple games and keep track of your scores. You can also play as different users and compare scores. Also written in JavaScript. There's some really big brain logic behind the scenes in this project. Not Mobile Friendly
2023: This is a git repository for a language model I built using TensorFlow and Keras with data from BYU's Old Assyrian Research Environment database. It works moderately well
2023: This is a git repository for an R-Shiny dashboard I collaborated on. It allows users to see the companies which have filed for the most patents with a given cpc code. A user can also see the areas where the most patents have been filed for a given cpc code.
2023: This is the git repository for the article located here
2023: This is another git repository for a language model I built using TensorFlow and Keras with text from a book. It works moderately well
2022: This is a ctf I put together to test high school students on their knowledge of the cyber kill chain.
2022: For our Digital Forensics final, we had to protect a server from an automated attack while keeping our services up. Afterwards, we had to analyze what the attacker had done. This is the presentation a classmate and I created to explain what we found.
2021: This is a report of a penetration test I and three teammates worked on. The midterm machine is very similar to metasploitable 2.
2022: This is a git repository of a MLR model I made for a class. The ipynb is designed to clean the data, improve the model, and predict how many retweets a given tweet will get.
2022: This is a git repository of a really rough cryptocurrency I made called Thtimuli Coin. The cryptocurrency is based in C#.
2022: This is a git repository of an ipynb that uses the twitter API to scrape thousands of tweets about depression and anxiety.
